The collection consists of minutes of the Board of Trustees of Wesleyan College (Macon, Ga.) and its predecessor, Wesleyan Female College, from 1889 - present. The minutes include the President's annual report, committee reports, and resolutions as well as information on college finances, faculty nominations, official appointments, degrees conferred, and student demographics and enrollment. The collection also contains minutes (1889-1967, 1969-present) of the Executive Committee meetings of the Board of Trustees.

The Georgia Female College opened in Macon, Georgia in 1839 as the first college chartered to grant degrees to women in the United States.
